Weather permitting, class will also be held on the lawn. In the evenings, we’ll get together a band and put the hardwood floor in the upstairs of the barn to use, dancing until we can’t any more.
There are lots of opportunities to get outside and enjoy Big Sur, with time set aside every day for walks and for expeditions to explore the nooks and crannies of the property. With any luck we’ll see another California Condor this year! Spring weather in Big Sur can be unpredictable, from cold (forty degrees) and windy to hot enough to go swimming… so bring a jacket, and a bathing suit!
There are a few options for accommodations: on-site, there is ample space for tent camping, so bring a tent if that’s your cup of tea. Campers can also stay inside the barn; the upstairs has an open floor plan, and people who don’t mind that the music inside sometimes goes on late into the night bring pads and sleeping bags and spread out on the floor and the couches. Learn fiddle tunes in your sleep! Onsite accommodations are rustic! If neither of these sounds appealing, consider one of the wonderful B&Bs or campgrounds close by.
